DirectAdmit Partnership FAQs

Is DirectAdmit free?

Yes! DirectAdmit is entirely free. The goal is to help first-generation and other students overcome barriers in the application process.

If it’s free, how does it make money?

DirectAdmit.com is a mission-driven higher education platform. It is supported through affiliate partners that have received education grants from organizations such as Facebook, The Gates Foundation, and The NYC Board of Education.

How do students find DirectAdmit?

We are part of Unigo.com, a platform with millions of active students exploring college opportunities. Students connect with us in two key ways: they raise their hands when they express interest in your institution while researching scholarships, programs, and schools on Unigo, and they further demonstrate intent by opting into the DirectAdmit™ process, signaling a strong interest in applying. Wonder how students find Unigo? Simple—through organic search and trusted references. Try typing "College Reviews" on Google Search and see where Unigo.com ranks—we lead the way in connecting students with the right institutions. :rocket:

Are students directly admitted?

No, this is a conditional admission process. Your institution has the final decision, and all communication to the students requires your approval.

Can we customize the DirectAdmit application?

Yes, customization options can be discussed during our meeting.

Are there any requirements to join?

You simply need to sign the agreement to participate.

How do we receive student information, and how often?

You’ll receive information in real-time or near real-time, depending on whether we set up API integration via CRM or use SFTP.

What does DirectAdmit expect from you?

We ask for feedback and support in measuring success. Specifically, let us know how many students matriculate at your institution as a result of DirectAdmit. Our mission is to create an open platform that prioritizes student access, not financial gain.
